Who Has The Lowest Rates on Alabama Auto Insurance
Reader Question: I was told that esurance has some of the lowest rates on Alabama auto insurance rates, what is your take on that comment?
Darcie
Hi Darcie, while I do agree that esurance does offer great rates on insurance the rate actually differs greatly for each individual, your driving and credit record, zip code, deductible amount etc. etc. so what I would recommend is enter your zip code in the box and get a free quote. You may or may not get one from esurance, just depends if an agent is in your area.

Will Out of State Alabama Speeding Ticket Get Reported
Reader’s Question:
I received a speeding ticket in KY. Will this be reported to my home state in Alabama?
Ricky
Thank you for asking Ricky.
Alabama and Kentucky are both members of the Driver License Compact (DLC). This means that being as a member of the DLC these member states are required to report tickets received by a driver out of state back to the state where they received their driver’s license.
In Kentucky going 11 to 15 mph over the speed limit is a 3 point offense. In Alabama speeding in excess of the posted limits is 2 points. Kentucky will report this speeding citation and conviction to your home state of Alabama. If you plead guilty and pay the fine, it will most likely show up on your AL driving record.
You will need to verify with the Alabama Department of Public Safety to find out if points will be assessed. If you do not take care of your ticket, Kentucky will likely suspend or revoke your driving privileges. If this happens the Non-Resident Violator Compact, of which both KY and AL are members, would require your home state of Alabama to also suspend your driver’s license.
Goodluck!
